To close the summer course, we are collaborating with our partners at the Faculty of Biology to hold a student conference on biodiversity.
This event invites ~100 students, practitioners, and researchers from Yogyakarta and other regions to come together and discuss about how we can utilize data into policy practices in managing and conserving biodiversity. Summer courses participant will join discussion, present ideas, and engage in debates to find the solution in current challenges in translating data into actionable insights

Ramban Rimba means Foraging in the Forest.
Yayasan Genau Indonesia Hijau started as an initiative from our alumni and one of our Faculty member (Akbar Reza) in 2023, with the commitment to preserving Indonesia’s tropical rainforests and biodiversity. Genau Indonesia focuses on connecting conservation with community well-being. This 3 Days and 2 Nights trip will bring you to interact with the local people and explore Petungkriyono in Pekalongan, next to the Dieng Plateau, home to the largest Owa Jawa (Javanese Gibbon) conserved habitat.
